Life through lAundry

I am currently producing artist commissions and residencies in laundrettes up and down the country with Quiet Down There.

Exploring life through the lens of the local laundrette, these projects authentically embed artists in communities to spark and share stories in a way they have never been heard before. Using the vehicle of domestic activity, we open up conversation, build connections and celebrate what was always there.
Projects lead to the creation of zines, online audio pieces, soundscapes, project souvenirs such as tea towels, badges and washing machine magnets.

Our latest project is with the northern town of Barrow-in-Furness and Barrowfull, a CPP lead by Women’s Community Matters: www.quietdownthere.co.uk/life-through-laundry-barrowinfurness
