Facilitating & Teaching
I teach multimedia arts at Dv8 Training in Brighton, a creative training centre for 14 – 19 year olds. I deliver the Arts Award and National Open College Network Step-UP qualification. I also work as a freelance artist educator and have delivered workshops and led exhibition tours for schools and specialist groups at the Hayward Gallery, Southbank Centre, London.
Testimonials
“Our students benefited greatly from having Esther discuss some of the pieces in the show and the overall concept of ‘In the Days of the Comet’. Esther took complex concepts and opened exciting and stimulating discussion with our young students. She fully engaged the large group and made contemporary art accessible to all.”
- Sue Mulholland, Teacher, St Saviours & St Olaves C of E Secondary Modern, London
“Year 11 GCSE Fine Art and BTEC Art students at St Paul’s Way Trust School had a wonderful afternoon at the British Art Show 7. They viewed and discussed a selection of challenging and interesting art pieces, artist Esther helped students to discuss and question the art work on display. All students then took part in a workshop with Esther where they responded to a given question, students then created their own Birthday cards based on life as a teenager. They created some great visual stories.
Students came away from the afternoon with renewed energy and excitement as well as further tools to help them explore and develop ideas from a theme, which certainly became very helpful as they were in the process of researching ideas for their Art exams.”
- Samantha Hill, Head of Art, St Paul’s Way Trust School, London
